God
To all of you Atheists out there... I give you the Mormon Challenge.
Here's how it works:
- Pray for God to reveal Himself to you in the way He asks you to pray.
- Confirm or deny the existence of God based on the results of this test.
That's all there is to it, really.
Religion is beyond reason. Trying to reason about religion is foolishness. That's because the fundamental tenet of religion is that there is something far greater than ourselves out there, and we're hopeless in trying to understand it. The only way we can understand it is if it revealed itself to us by divine miracles.
Beyond this, everything else is moot. You cannot convince me that God doesn't exist because I know he does. (I am way beyond belief.) I cannot convince you that God does exist because you refuse to take the challenge or have proved for yourself that he doesn't.
